The organisation

We are working with an employer who has invested heavily in developing a culture of people who provide support and guidance. They are pushing the boundaries in terms of tech lead sophistication.

They have been on a growth strategy (acquisition) over the last few years. Additionally, they have diversified their approach with a range of market leading propositions.

They have a completely flexible approach to remote working. The business has a national presence whilst remaining smaller in numbers of staff.

They are an established business which is backed by one of the largest Insurance Brokers in the country.

The role

The organisation is looking to better leverage their connection to the parent company in the form of generating referrals. With the growth the organisation has experienced, they are now investing in leveraging these networks as they have launched a new customer proposition which results in upside for all parties.

In line with their values, they have partnered with a Life Insurer who will provide the platform and services to ensure referrals are managed professionally and with a customer first approach.

Essentially, the Relationship Managers will be connecting with Brokers (General Insurance) in the parent to build relationships and talk about the proposition (Life Insurance). Through building a relationship and demonstrating value, you will generate referrals who will then have their Life Insurance cover reviewed and (where appropriate) renewed.

The organisation is currently experiencing success in generating referrals. At this stage, they are engaged with less than 10% of the Broker community only. With more than 90% to still connect with, we are looking for 2 Relationship Managers who will take on a portfolio and look to build these relationships.

You will build relationships with Brokers at a national level. There will be an opportunity to attend events and to meet face-to-face.

There is scope to work from anywhere in Aus. There are offices in Sydney and Brisbane and you’re welcome to come in as often (or as little) as you like. There is complete flexibility.

A generous bonus structure where you can earn up to 100% of your salary.

Looking for

We’re looking for someone who is capable of building rapport and relationships over the phone initially. The Brokers tend to be on the road and based all over Australia, so it’s paramount you’re able to do this.

Individuals who have experience in proposition sales in the B2B space. We are agnostic on the industry you come from. The organisation believes you can learn about the technical and proposition. You can’t teach people skills.

A growth mindset. There is a strong belief in the scale that can be achieved here. The evolution of this role is to weave in modern approaches in servicing the community of people (the intersection of sales and marketing). The business invests in staff development.
